DSP Job Description
Reports to: ISL Assistant Manager or Group Home Assistant Manager
The DSP plays an important role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. They provide assistance with activities of daily living, ensure a safe environment, administer medications and maintain proper documentation. They must be familiar with Individual Support Plans (ISP) and follow medical orders and protocols. DSPs may work in a Group Home or ISL (Individualized Supported Living) setting with the primary goal of fostering a healthy, safe, and empowering environment.
Group Home or ISL AM Job Description
Reports to: GH Professional Manager or ISL Professional Manager
The AM provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in a group home or ISL (their own home). This role involves both direct care and the indirect supervision of DSPs. In addition to hands-on assistance, the AM also has administrative duties and helps ensure the overall smooth operation of the home.
The AM assists with training and scheduling staff. They take individuals shopping, to medical appointments, and other community events. They ensure medical orders are followed, order medications, plan meals, review documentation and have on-call duties. They perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Group Home or ISL Professional Manager.
Group Home or ISL PM Job Description
Reports to: Director of Services
The PM is responsible for overseeing the delivery of services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential or community setting. The PM ensures that these services are provided with a person-centered focus, complying with all applicable regulations and individual service plans (ISP). This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including family members, guardians, medical professionals, and direct care staff, to enhance the quality of life for individuals receiving care.
Key responsibilities are administrative functions such as: staff training and supervision, quality enhancement monitoring, direct plan implementation and monitoring, documentation and reviews, oversight of medical services, and coordination of all services and programs for the individuals they are assigned including being on-call for crisis intervention.
